Brodie Blades

Brodie Blades is an experienced urban designer with qualifications in both urban design and town planning. His fluency in each comes from over a decade of experience in the Australian public and private sectors, including previous roles at the City of Melbourne, City of Maribyrnong and international consultancy David Lock Associates. Most recently, Brodie held a senior leadership role with national architecture and design studio SJB.

Brodie is a well-connected and collaborative individual who frequently works with many of Victoria’s preeminent architects, developers, town planners, lawyers, barristers and development managers. He has also worked with many public agencies and authorities, including (but not limited to) the Victorian Planning Authority, DTP, the City of Darebin, the City of Boroondara, the City of Yarra, the City of Monash, the City of Frankston, the City of Ballarat, the City of Casey, Warrnambool City Council, Mansfield Shire Council and Mornington Peninsula Shire Council.

Brodie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning) degree with First Class Honours from RMIT University (2011) and a Graduate Diploma of Urban Design from Melbourne University’s Melbourne School of Design (MSD) (2014). He is a member of the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA), a Panellist on the inaugural City of Ballarat Design Review Panel, and a Sessional Design Member of Planning Panels Victoria (PPV).

Campbell Gullock

Campbell Gullock is a qualified urban designer and town planner with over six years’ experience in the Victorian development industry, including previous roles at Moonee Valley City Council, SJB Planning, SJB Urban and LatStudios.

He brings a creative yet pragmatic approach to the studio’s urban design projects, and is responsible for a range of outputs including urban design reviews, urban design referrals, urban design expert witness statements, urban design guidelines, urban context reports and visual communication (including 3D modelling). He has also appeared as an expert urban design witness before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Environments (Urban Design and Planning) degree from the University of Melbourne (2016), and a Masters of Urban Planning from RMIT University (2019).

He is an active member of the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA).
